Soldiers from Hope Valley Discharged as

Pensioners - Napoleonic Period & later

Set out below are those soldiers identified as being from Glossop parish who served in the wars against France between 1794 - 1815 or later & were discharged via the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. Many were already in the army & many stayed in after peace was declared. One or two enlisted later. Not all of those who enlisted will be here because some may not have given their home town or village and I may not therefore have extracted them. There will be more about most of them at the National Archives - mainly ref: WO97 or WO 121
